What were the highlights of Dubrovnik for you?: Lopud island has beautiful beaches, view from the roof of villa glorisa, Hotel belvedere party, water sports. The place is so clean and everyone spoke english and was friendly.

Describe your experience of staff and the booking process at Rose of Dubrovnik: Fantastic experience. Meliha was able to answer all of my questions quickly and courteously. I would not hesitate to recommend Rose of Dubrovnik to anybody I know travelling to Dubrovnik.
Comments about your host and accommodation: Barbara was quite helpful giving us suggestions for restaurants, bars, sites around the city and even booking a cab for us the night before. The accomodation itself was better than expected from the pictures, we especially loved the view from the balcony!
What were the highlights of Dubrovnik for you?: The highlights were our day trip to Lokrum to visit the beaches and walk around the island, and of course cliff diving at the Buza bar!

Impressing I think. Thank you for your patience and for your recommendations!

Comments about your host and accommodation: We are very,very satisfied whith the apartment and whith the staff Daniela & Vlaho. We think we were very lucky who came to this nice place Mlini, and to this apartment with a beautiful garden an big terrace with view at the see, and host that were very nice and did tell us about Croatia and so on, and invited us for a splendid home made meal for instance.

What were the highlights of Dubrovnik for you?: The highlights was the combination of the landscape whith high mountains, the beautiful see, nice little towns,small islands and nice croatian people. To learn more about the war, the different part of former Yougoslavia. The old town of Dubrovnik is incredible, and the walk on the citywwall was unforgettable.

What were the highlights of Dubrovnik for you?: The tripp with the local ferry boat from Cavtat to Dubrovnik. The fantastic atmosfer innside The old city. The outstanding resturants and the good food. The good climate and the sunny days. The clean water and the nice hinterland.

Comments about your host and accommodation: Hosts were excellent, well humoured and generous, allowed an early check in and stored our bags safely for a number of hours on our final day. Accomodation was perfectly located, in a perfect state and provided all necessary tourist information.
What were the highlights of Dubrovnik for you?: Good nightlife in the city centre, excellent restuarants and also very pleasurable island tours. 3 island tours and a trip to Lokrum were experienced. A perfect place to relax after a music festival.

Initally i was very impressed with my first email from Rose of Dubrovnik as i was sent several links to various accomodations which made it so much easier to select.
Comments about your host and accommodation: Our host upon arrival and departure were very helpful. On arrival our taxi transfer helped us with a few croatian phrases also whcih was a funny experience. The transfer to and from the airport was swift. The accomodation itselft was clean and tidy. It had plenty of towels, even a hairdryer and a CD player was put in the room upon our request.... The location was superb - only 5 minutes down the steps to Banje Beach and 7 minutes walk literally to the old town where you can find the entrance to the city walls and harbour. Food was lovely too. The supermarket and bank are also five minutes away towards old town from apartment. The apartment itself had a garden of which you could make use of the outdoor seating area and had great views over the sea... thank you!
What were the highlights of Dubrovnik for you?: We met many nationalities during our week stay in Dubrovnik which was lovely. There were two late night clubs both just outside either of the gate entrances. The food was lovely, the ambiance of the jazz bar in the main square was also a lovely welcome.

The staff at Rose of Dubrovnik: excellant, pick-up on time also pick up to go to the airport, very helpful information given.

We had a great time (stayed at apartment Splendid) and enjoyed ourselves very much. The stairs were a bit hard as we had heavy bags.

The highlights of Dubrovnik for us were The Old Town; Lapad for easier swimming as we are over 60 yrs ; swimming at local area (a bit hard to get into the water & walking up those stairs back to our appt) loved the water so nice to swim in on hot days, watching the big ships come into the harbour.

We stayed in Lapad which was a very picturesque base and very easy to get to and from the old town. Was a very relaxing holiday with loads of lovely restaurants, pubs beaches etc... Cant wait to go back

Comments about your host and accommodation: Our apartment was perfect for us, there were 8 of us and we never felt like we were cramped. The beds were comfortable, the place spotless and everything we could have needed was supplied in the apartment. Everthing was thought down to the supply of a Croatia guide book. WE had the most amazing balcony and spend many a happy evening on the balcony. Mehila was very friendly, arrival and transfers were very well organised and the little drive around Lapad when we arrived was beyond expectations but a really nice touch.

What were the highlights of Dubrovnik for you?: The highlights were the old town, walking the city walls, a nice cold drink in the Buza cafe and our balcony in the apartment in particular at sunset.

The highlight of our visit to Dubrovnik was fact that we could relax and do nothing, or see the old town, take boat trips... you could do as much or as little as you liked and never get bored. The sea was the best though - warm, calm, clean... just gorgeous.

Melhia was really helpful and prompt at replying to our questions and we felt really excited and confident about our choice prior to our visit. Overall very professional and personal all in one! ...Azahar House Studio Tangerine is in a perfect location only a few minutes down the steps (not too many) to the beach and less than ten minutes to the wonderful old town of Dubrovnik. The supermarket is only a few steps up to the road and is well stocked with everything you need, it has a bakery and cheese and meat counter. The studio is perfect for a couple spacious, bright and decorated to a high standard. The owners are really lovely and can't do enough. The highlight is the balcony with the most amazing view of the harbour and sea, we had breakfast and pre dinner drinks there every night - perfect! It’s a very peaceful location...... we would highly recommend it! .... Dubrovnik -What an amazing place it’s a city break and beach holiday wrapped into one! Food, people, atmosphere, architecture, beaches, service are second to none! Croatian wine is really worth trying had some really good white and red! We were blown away by Dubrovnik a place which really must be visited! It has a sophisticated warm friendly feeling and air of excitement. Every night there is something new happening we saw a fashion show concert all in the main square. The website is Excellent...Accurate information & photos...booking process: xcellent, fast reply, very helpful and friendly...Meliha is excellent, she gave us invaluable information about the area in Lapad and lots of useful information. Make sure to book airport transfer with this company, it is invaluable.
We stayed at Rose of Dubrovnik apartment in Lapad... Very very spacious, splotlessly clean, very comfortable, great location, fantastic view on the very spacious balcony, everything you need is in the apartment.
Recommended trip highlights: dubrovnik old town, walking city walls, visit to Mostar and great food, especially in Proto restaurant for top class seafood

The Rhaposodie is an excellent apartment, situated 5 minute walk from old town walls, 2 minute walk from bakery, grocery store. 2 minute walk to beach at the foot of the front door. Quiet apartment even though we were so close to everything. The photos on the site do not do the furnishing justice, as the pieces, for the most part, are antiques. Lovely porcelein and crystal. Kitchen completely outfitted, never needed anything or was missing anything. Terrace was lovely for supper in the evenings and just to sit around during the day or evening. Just a super place to stay, we loved every day.

Try to visit the Old Town early in the morning to avoid the crowd. If you don't want to wait too long for dinner, eat at 19h, before the crowd arrives. The islands around Dubrovnik are beautiful, especially Miljet. If you go there and want to ride a bike, don't rent it on the port (unless you like to climb a lot), but enter the park with the free bus and then rent the bike, near the lake. It's easier !
